The Christmas Light

The Light Reveals.
At His Birth, the angels praised God.
At His Birth, the shepherds told about God.
At His Birth, Mary pondered the things told to her by God.
At His Birth, Joseph remembered the dream from God.
At His Birth, the wise men followed the star from God.
BUT, At His Birth, Jesus REVEALED God.
At His Birth, John foretold “The One who is the true Light, who gives light to everyone was going to come into the world.” John 1:9
At His Birth, Simeon stated “I have seen The Savior You have given to all people. He is a light to REVEAL God to the nations.” Like 2:30
Before His Death, Jesus prayed, “And I have REVEALED YOU to them and will keep on REVEALING YOU to them. I will do this so that your love for me may be in them and I in them.” John 17:26.
At His birth, We See GOD.

Be Happy !!

Thankful = Happy!
“Happy are those who have The God of Israel as their helper, whose hope is in The Lord their God. The Lord lifts the burdens of those bent beneath their loads.” Psalms 146:5-10(NLT). “He heals the brokenhearted, binding up their wounds. He counts the stars and calls them all by name. How great is our Lord! His power is absolute! His understanding is beyond comprehension. The Lord supports the humble. The Lord’s delight is in those who honor Him, those who put their hope in His unfailing love.” Ps. 147. “Happy indeed are those whose God is The Lord.” Be Happy. Rest in Him. I’m praying for you.

What God Wants

Our sacrifice.
“O my people, listen as I speak…I am God, your God! I have no complaint about your sacrifices…But I want more. I don’t need the bulls you sacrifice… What I want instead is your TRUE THANKS to God. I want you to fulfill your vows to the Most High. Trust me in your times of trouble and I will rescue you and you will give me glory. Giving thanks is a sacrifice that truly honors me.” Psalms 50:8-25. Like King David, God wants us to say-“I know The Lord is always with me. No wonder my heart is filled with joy and my mouth shouts His praises. My body rests in hope.” Acts 2:25-26. Thanksgiving is the sacrifice that honors our Savior. Have a great day. God Did It!!

God Did It !

The Production of God

The Production of God.

“Be careful to put into action God’s saving work in your lives, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey Him and the power to do what pleases Him. Hold tightly to the Word of Life. For God’s way of making us right with Himself depends on faith. As a result, I can really know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised Him from the dead.” Philippians 2:13, 3:9-10. “We are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10. “We put no confidence in human effort. Instead, we boast about what Christ Jesus has done for us.” Phil. 3:3(NLT). God continually produces His work in us. Don’t trust in yourself. Depend on Him. I’m praying for you

“Mom! He pinched me!” As children we often ran to our parents when a disagreement broke out between us. Sometimes our parents would tell us to sort it out ourselves, other times they would step in as a mediator, helping us mend our relationship with one another.

When sin entered the world and the relationship between God and man was broken, man had no one to mediate and mend his relationship with God. Only a being who was both deity and human could bridge the gap between man and God. We were stuck, unable to renew our relationship with God.

Aware of our inability to rectify our relationship to Himself, God chose and appointed a Mediator. He sent His son, Jesus, to earth, clothed in the flesh of humanity to become our Savior and Mediator and pay the penalty for our sin. When we believe in Him, our relationship with God is healed and our future destination is secured. Through Christ we can have an intimate relationship with God on earth and throughout eternity. -David Jeremiah

The “Rest” of Jesus
In John 17:19 Jesus is praying to The Father. “And I give myself ENTIRELY to you so they also might be ENTIRELY yours.” This was the work of The Savior. “And Jesus said to him, The foxes have holes and the birds of the air have nests; but The Son of Man has no where to lay His head.” Matt. 8:20. Jesus had no rest in this world. He sacrificed ENTIRELY so that we could be entirely His. He lived entirely for us. Until one day rest came. “When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, He said ‘It is Finished’; and HE BOWED HIS HEAD, then He gave up the spirit.” John 19:30. He rested when His work was done. He loves us more than we will ever understand. Have a great day. I’m praying for you

‘Tis a Charming Sound

For the law made nothing perfect; on the other hand, there is the bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
Hebrews 7:19

To understand the link between Law and Grace, remember that God is pure, perfect, holy, and righteous. We are not; but without a measuring stick we can’t see how truly sinful we are. When God gave the Ten Commandments (which is the Law in its essence), He revealed His character in a way that allows us to measure ourselves by His holiness. Standing on tiptoe and trying to be as tall as the Law can never save us. The Law simply shows our deficiency.

It also reveals our need for Grace. When Christ came, He perfectly fulfilled the Law; and when He died on the cross, He took our failures upon Himself and transferred His righteousness to our account.

There was nothing wrong with the Law; it simply defined sin. But it also prepared us for a better hope — the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ through whom we draw near to God. The Law was conditional, but Christ’s redemption is unmerited, unconditional, final, and worthy of praise forever. -David Jeremiah

Free at last

Finally Free!

For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
Matthew 26:28

In 2007, James Tillman was released from prison after serving 16.5 years of a 45-year sentence for a rape he did not commit. Also in 2007, Lynn DeJac was released from prison after serving 13 years on a murder conviction — a murder she did not commit. In 2010, Greg Taylor was released from prison after serving 17 years for a murder he did not commit. As of June 2012, 292 wrongfully-convicted people had been freed from prison through DNA testing, 17 of whom had received death sentences.

Imagine what it must feel like to walk out of prison a free person — no more burden of guilt or shame of (accused) wrongdoing. The Christian doesn’t have to imagine it. We know the reality in an even deeper way: We did, in fact, commit the sins of which we stand accused by God’s law. And yet we have been set free from the burden of guilt and shame of (actual) wrongdoing. Through the shed blood of Christ, God promises to remember our sins no more. Our challenge is to remember that God has forgotten!

If you are a child of God, thank Him today that you have been set free — forevermore! Then walk in the newness of life Christ’s blood has bought. -David Jeremiah

Come, Dine with Me

Come, Dine with Me!
Throughout Scripture God uses bread as a symbol of His intimate presences with us. In the tabernacle, Exodus 25:30, God told Moses “You must always keep the special ‘Bread of The Presence’ on the table before Me”. Luke 22:19″Then Jesus took the bread; and when He thanked God for it He broke it in pieces and gave it to the disciples saying’This is My Body which is broken for you…” The two followers on the road to Emmaus did not know Him until “He took a small loaf of bread, asked God’s blessing on it, broke it, then gave it to them. Suddenly, their eyes were opened and they recognized Him!” Luke 24:30-31. John 6:33 “The true Bread of God is the One who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. Vs. 47 “I assure you, anyone who believes in Me already has eternal life. Yes, I am the Bread of Life!” God is so intimate with us that He calls us to “Come and Dine”. Then He shows us who He is. He feeds us and sustains us with Himself. He fills us with all He is. Jesus, the life-filling, life-sustaining, ever present Savior. Hallelujah!!! I’m praying for you.
