WHO IS GOD?

Who is God?
The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my Savior; my God is my rock in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the strength of my Salvation and my stronghold, my high tower, my Savior…In my distress I cried out to The Lord; yes, I called to God for help. He heard me. My cry for help reached His ears…He reached down from Heaven and rescued me…He led me to a place of safety; HE RESCUED ME BECAUSE HE DELIGHTS IN ME…O Lord, You are my light; yes Lord, You light up my darkness. In your strength I can crush an Army. As for God, His way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to Him for protection…For who is God except THE LORD? Who but our God is a solid rock?” 2 Samuel 22:2-51. Who is God? He is mine!
Have a good Sunday. Worship our Savior.

Calm, quite,peaceful

Our world is loud and undependable!!! God the Father describes His Son in Matthew 12:18-21 “Look well at my handpicked Servant; I love Him so much, take such delight in Him; He will decree justice to the nations. But He won’t yell, won’t raise His voice; there will be no commotion in the streets. He won’t walk over anyone’s feelings, won’t push you into a corner. Before you know it, His justice will triumph; the mere sound of His name will bring hope…” See how very much the Father loves His Son!!! Yet God chose us over Jesus! Then when we seem consumed by loud, God’s Son gently and humbly brings us back to himself. Matthew is quoting Isaiah 42. Verse 4 says “He won’t tire out and quit. He won’t be stopped until He finishes His work!” This quiet and ever-present Jesus is continually lavishing us in His extreme love and bringing us back to Himself. “We thank you, O God! We give thanks because you are near.” Psalms 75:1. I’m praying for you. Have a great day.

God, Is It Nothing to You that I’m Falling?

God, Is It Nothing to You that I Am Going Down?
They thought God didn’t care.
Mark 4:35-41 “Late that day Jesus said to them ‘Let’s go across to the other side of the sea.’ They took Him into the boat…A huge storm came up. Waves poured into the boat, threatening to sink it. And Jesus was in the stern, head on a pillow, SLEEPING! They roused Him saying, ‘Teacher, IS IT NOTHNG TO YOU THAT WE ARE GOING DOWN?’ Jesus told the wind to pipe down, and said to the sea, ‘Quiet! Settle Down! Now the WIND RAN OUT OF BREATH and the sea became smooth as glass. Then Jesus asked, Why are you afraid? Don’t you have any faith?” Our problems are big. We feel very small. We ask,”Is it nothing to God that I am consumed with trouble?” But Jesus answers us-“Why are you afraid?” When Jesus steps in, the wind of our problems will run out of breath! Have faith in The Savior that loves you unconditionally. Faith to conquer breaks down when we don’t know the depths of His Love. The wind runs out of breath and our sea is smooth when we KNOW He loves us. I’m praying that you know His love today.

The Racket of Life.

The Racket of Life

Son of man, look with your eyes and hear with your ears, and fix your mind on everything I show you.
Ezekiel 40:4

Novak Djokovic is the Number One tennis player in the world. After beating Andy Murray at the Shanghai Masters, he told reporters, “A calm mind always wins. Confidence plays a key role for any person on this planet.”

For Christians, a calm mind comes from having our thoughts fixed on Jesus and our minds stayed on Him (Hebrews 3:1; Isaiah 26:3). Jesus told us to love Him with all our mind (Matthew 22:37). The Bible warns against an “anxious mind” (Luke 12:29) and instructs us to set our minds on “things above” (Colossians 3:2). We’re to be renewed in the spirit of our minds. To be spiritually minded is “life and peace” (Ephesians 4:23; Romans 8:6). As we meditate on God’s Word, the peace of God guards our “hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:7).

Amid the racket of life, a calm mind always wins. Learn to deliberately fix your mind on Jesus and His Word today. Focus on Christ and feed on His Word.
David Jeremiah

It is a grand thing when the mind becomes calm, when the soul grows strong, when courage increases, when confidence comes, when deep peace and quiet restfulness flow into the soul.
Charles H. Spurgeon

2 Corinthians 10:3-5
New King James Version (NKJV)
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

I talk to God always. It’s as if He’s my friend, Dad and my God. Mostly we talk of simple things that should not cause worry. But this week I have been “awash in fear”. They r trying to take my granddaughters away. The God showed me Gideon. My heart was filled with the fact that he had been given the Holy Spirit. Only our savior can push out all the fear and fill u with Jesus

Heart’s Hear! Psalms 27:8a “My heart has heard…” God speaks to our hearts. What does God say? Ps. 27:8a “Come and talk with Me”. God asks us to come and talk. No condemnation. No requirement. Just talk! What does YOUR heart say? Ps. 27:8b “And my heart responds ‘Lord, I’m coming!!” Ps. 26:3 “For I am constantly aware of your unfailing love” Ps. 31:7 “I am overcome with joy because of your unfailing…

Daddy’s favorite scripture.

Psalm 23

A David Psalm

1-3 God, my shepherd! I don’t need a thing.
You have bedded me down in lush meadows,
you find me quiet pools to drink from.
True to your word,
you let me catch my breath
and send me in the right direction.

4 Even when the way goes through
Death Valley,
I’m not afraid
when you walk at my side.
Your trusty shepherd’s crook
makes me feel secure.

5 You serve me a six-course dinner
right in front of my enemies.
You revive my drooping head;
my cup brims with blessing.

6 Your beauty and love chase after me
every day of my life.
I’m back home in the house of God
for the rest of my life.”

My Dad is in the arms of Jesus. He left on Thursday. It was my privilege to watch my parents go through death valley and depend completely on this promise. This is from a translation called “The Message” Dad quoted this from the King James version. As Dad started slipping from us, my Mom knew that when she couldn’t talk to Dad that Jesus was. My Dad is proof that God always, always, always answers prayer. Hallelujah, What A Savior!!!! I’m praying for you. Thank you for praying for me and my family.

What Makes God Sing?

Singing and praising God are such an amazing part of Christmas. The Angels sing-Luke 2:13 “Suddenly there was with the Angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace, good will toward men” The Shepherds sing- vs.20 “Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them” We sing- Eph.5:19 “speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” But did you know GOD SINGS? Zephaniah 3:16-17 ” Cheer up! Don’t be afraid! For the Lord your God has arrived to live among you. He is a mighty savior. He will rejoice OVER YOU with great gladness. With His love, He will calm your fears. He will rejoice OVER YOU by SINGING A HAPPY SONG!” The angels sing, the shepherds sing, we sing because our Savior who came to bring us underserved salvation. God arrived to live among us. God rejoices over us. God quiets us with His love. But what makes God sing? YOU. Have a wonderful Sunday. I’m praying for you. And God is singing!!!
